Sandra Sarni, RD, LDN, MS, is a registered and licensed dietitian/nutritionist with a Masters of Science degree in Nutrition from Boston University. She has over 25 years of experience as a nutrition counselor and educator. Sandy has been employed as a dietitian/nutritionist for Mt. Auburn Hospital, Harvard Community Health Plan, Beverly Hospital, Health Promotion Affiliates, and as an adjunct nutrition instructor for Bunker Hill Community College, Framingham State College, and Northeastern University.
Sandy’s main focus is disease prevention and health promotion with a special interest in cardiovascular nutrition. Currently, she is employed as the Nutrition Specialist for Massachusetts Interlocal Insurance Association’s (MIIA) Wellness Program. As part of her responsibilities as Nutrition Specialist for MIIA, she is the program coordinator of “Heart Matters,” a signature intervention program aimed at reducing cardiovascular risk and improving health status among municipal employees. Future nutrition intervention programs in development include an Obesity Risk Reduction and Diabetes Prevention Program.
